At times, the reality of evil in our world is so overwhelming. This is one of those times when we have no recourse other than prayer. pray for all the world leaders who will help us seek peace. God bless them. God help them. Pray especially for the souls in Ukraine.
My favorite religious devotion, other than the Rosary, is anything to do with Mary Who Undoes Knots. This devotion was popularized by Pope Francis. I am just fascinated with it. The theology behind is seems very sound - very helpful. It is helpful and nurturing.
I am copying here the entire Novena. You do not have to pray the entire novena. You can also just pray the prayer to Our Lady, Undoer of Knots right here below - or a different type of prayer at the very end of the novena. Obviously, you can pray the entire Novena if you wish. This is not an endurance contest of praying. It is prayer that focuses us on Mary who listens to us. Speak to her. Just say the major prayer rather than the entire novena if you do not have the time. You will still get her attention.
I have given out thousands of prayer cards over the years with the painting of Mary Who Undoes Knots - and the prayer which is part of the devotion. If you want one or several, just ask me for them when I see you at church for my assigned Mass on weekends. (what a neat way to get you to come to church!!!!! but always good to see you.) Holy Mary, full of God’s presence during the day of your life, you accepted with full humility the Father’s will, and the devil was never capable of tying you up with his confusion. Once with your Son you interceded for our difficulties, and full of kindness and patience, you gave us example of how to untie the knots in our life. By remaining forever Our Mother, you put in order and make more clear the ties that link us to the Lord. Holy Mother, Mother of God and our Mother, to you who intie with a motherly heart the knots of our life, we pray to you to receive in your hands (the name of the person), and to free him/her of the knots and confusion with which our enemy attacks. Through your grace, your intercession and your example deliver us from all evil, Our Lady, and untie the knots that prevent us from being united with God, so that we, free from sin and error, may find Him in all things, may have our hearts placed in Him, and may serve Him always in our brothers and sisters.
