This is about self-sabotage. As I was writing yesterday's post, I kept stopping and starting - and began coming up with reasons why I should not write the post - and whether the idea of doing 100 posts for this blog was ridiculous. So I decided to make that the topic of this post.
I realize that this post is rather narcissistic and is all about me. Sigh. But this is the only way I know to approach this.
Do you ever get in your own way? If you came to me with this problem, I would ask you to list all the things that are preventing you from doing something. That is the best place to start. Then I would encourage you to whittle down those things - address them - and reduce the number of things preventing you from doing something. As the list of obstacles gets smaller, then things are back in focus. This is easy to do. So why don't I do this? I need to figure this out for myself. (stay tuned for Part Two!)
Do you engage in self-sabotage? I think that a lot of people do. Why do we do it? Why won't we stop? Is there a comfort zone when we are in a rut - possibly - but how do we get out of this rut?
TODAY'S GRATITUDE - I am grateful for those times that happen when I take myself less seriously. I do take myself far too seriously. It is a good thing when I realize that this is not helping me.
